Today (Tuesday) night curfew will be from 12 noon to 6 am

Ahmedabad matches will also be played without spectators

Considering the increasing number of cores in the state, the state government has decided to implement night curfew in four metros Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat and Rajkot from 10 pm to 6 am from March 17, 2021. This system of night curfew will be in force till March 31, 2021. The state government has decided to maintain the previous system of night curfew in all the four metros till Tuesday, March 16, i.e. from 12 pm to 6 am. Following the government's decision, ST has also decided that buses will not enter all the four cities after 10 pm. When the bus does not enter the city from the ring road and the corporation will make alternative arrangements from the ring road to take you to the city.


The night curfew imposed in four metros of the state - Ahmedabad, Surat, Rajkot and Vadodara - expired yesterday. A night curfew has been decided based on Corona's condition at today's core committee meeting. This was announced by Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel. He said that the decision on which area to keep night curfew in which area will be announced by evening. "There has been one case of coronavirus being positive," he said. The central government has sent 14.50 lakh more doses. Adequate amounts of vaccine are available. There is nothing wrong with vaccinating.


The night curfew has expired


Corona cases are on the rise across the state, including Ahmedabad. The night curfew, on the other hand, expired only yesterday. In it, the Deputy Chief Minister has discussed with the Municipal Commissioners to take steps to prevent the transmission of Corona and instructed them to take a decision at the local level. DyCM Nitinbhai Patel said cases of corona are on the rise in the state. Manpa commissioners are also allowed to take appropriate decision and take necessary steps.


Food and drink stalls closed after 10 p.m.


Earlier, due to increasing cases of corona in Ahmedabad city, it was decided to close hotels, restaurants, food and beverage markets, malls, gallas and tea stalls in 8 areas after 10 pm. In this regard, the Municipal Corporation yesterday decided that hotels and restaurants in Jodhpur, South Bopal, Navrangpura, Bodakdev, Thaltej, Gota Paldi, Ghatlodia and Maninagar would remain closed after 10 pm. The Manekchowk and Raipur food and beverage markets in the city will also be closed.

A statement issued to the Gujarat Cricket Association at 10 pm on Monday said that the India-England T20 matches to be played on March 16, 18 and 20 at the Narendra Modi Stadium will be played without spectators as the number of coro cases is on the rise. Refunds will be given to spectators who purchase tickets as well. The GCA has decided to play the next matches behind closed doors after considering discussions with the BCCI. As well as a policy on refunds of tickets for the remaining three matches. As well as those who have been given free tickets are requested not to visit the stadium.


Increase in corona patients in civil


The number of cases is also increasing at Asarwani Civil Hospital. The number of cases in civil hospitals has now crossed 100. Superintendent Dr. J.P. Modi said that so far 91 cases have been registered in the civil hospital. In which more than 60 patients are on ventilator. There is a need to warn those who do not wear masks and do not have social distance. People need to avoid going to weddings and crowded places. He further said that as part of the preparations at the Civil Hospital, 500 beds of emergency have been prepared in 1200-bed hospitals and more beds will be started if required.
