In the case of Covid-19, when the students are not fully present in the schools, direct educational work has not been started with the students in many places.  In these circumstances, the main objective of the first semester diagnostic test to be conducted now is to check the LEARNING LOSS in the students.  As well as at the end of the diagnostic test, the remedial teaching work is expected to be done by the students / subject teachers individually according to the LEARNING OUTCOMES.  Students are instructed to conduct a diagnostic test as far as possible by sending test papers to the school otherwise as per the periodic test.  The purpose of the diagnostic test is expected to be achieved.   

The question papers of the first session diagnostic test will be sent just like the periodic test.  Granted and grant aided schools including government schools will also have to send diagnostic test papers in soft copy within the stipulated time limit.  Data entry as well as other test related instructions are kept intact.  Other instructions given in the letter of reference-1 are kept intact.
