GOOD NEWS FOR THE TEACHERS WHO ARE ON ELECTION DUTY FOR ELECTION 2021.
Sachiv Shree State Election Commission has issued an important press note for the teachers who are on election duty for Election 2021. The official Press-note is given below at the end of the description. Kindly go through it.
Regarding the general elections of 6 Municipal Corporations, 81 Municipalities, 31 District Panchayats, 231 Taluka Panchayats, and by-elections of 2 seats of Junagadh Municipal Corporation and by-elections of vacant seats of other local bodies. The program has been announced on 2-1-21. In local body elections, on election day, the polling staff usually arrives at the receiving center late at night after the polling is over, or early in the morning the next day, if the distance is too great, to hand over the ballot papers.
In the current Covid-19 epidemic situation, in some cases, there may be a delay in the arrival of polling teams at the receiving center in stages. Therefore, considering the relatively long tenure of the election staff on duty and the difficulty in attending their office on the second day of polling, the employees on election duty on the second day of polling will be required to attend this day if they cannot be present at their original office. The State Election Commission has decided that they will not have to be present at their original office. The above instructions will also apply in case of re-polling. No additional allowance may be levied for this period.
