Jio 5G Smartphone, JioBook Laptop May Debut At AGM 2021 Say TelecomTalk Report




Gionee's 5G smartphones and laptops are set to launch in the market soon. According to a report, at this year's AGM (Annual General Meeting), the company may launch its first 5G smartphone and low-cost laptop 'JioBook'. The smartphone could be launched in partnership with Google. According to the report, this smartphone will run on JioOS based on Android and Android Go Edition. Android Go is Google's lightweight OS. It is designed for entry-level hardware smartphones.


There is a conversation going on between Geo and Google on the 5G phone's OS

According to a report from TelecomTalk, Geo and Google are in talks about which Android OS to offer. An official said that Android Go OS can be found in Jio's upcoming 5G smartphone. According to reports, Reliance Jio is working on Android-based OS for smartphones.


Jio is developing laptops

Reliance Jio may partner with Chinese brand Bluebank Communication Technology to develop a low-cost laptop Jiobook with 4G LTE connectivity. The development of GeoBook started last September. It could reach the testing stage by next April.


JioBook Basic Specifications (Possible)

The Reliance GeoBook will have a display with HD 1366X768 pixel resolution. It can be attached with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor. It has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. For connectivity, it has options including a mini HDMI connector, dual-band WiFi, and Bluetooth. Laptops can be found with preloaded apps including Geostar, Geomet, and Jio Pages.
