NPCI clarifies that no additional charge will be levied on UPI transactions:

As claimed earlier in some media reports, NPCI will now charge UPI transactions.

You do not have to pay extra for UPI transactions, the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has clarified. Pay and Phone Pay will be able to transact without any additional charges as before.

 

NPCI said that some media reports have said that additional charges will have to be levied on UPI transactions from the new year. Earlier, some media reports had claimed that NPCI had decided to impose a 30 per cent cap on companies serving third party apps like Amazon Pay, Google Pay and Phone Pay from January 1, 2021, but Now millions of customers have experienced hashtags as NPCI clarifies.
