WhatsApp is working on many new features for Android, Apple iOS, Windows, and web users. WABetaInfo, a website that tracks upcoming features and changes on WhatsApp, has reported on these features. While most of these features are already available for WhatsApp beta users, some features are seeing a beta update. Here we are telling you about 10 features of WhatsApp that you can find in your phone soon.
1. Group admin will be able to delete messages sent by other users
WhatsApp is working on a new chat feature for group admins. After this feature, the WhatsApp group admin will be able to delete messages from any group member without asking. The user will then see a note stating "This message has been deleted by the admin."
2. 2-Step Verification for WhatsApp Web / Desktop
There are plans to bring a new safety feature for desktop and web users. WhatsApp can bring two-step verification to the web/desktop. Two-step verification for strangers is an optional feature that makes your WhatsApp account more secure. A 2-step verification PIN is different from a 6-digit verification code that you receive via SMS or phone call. Helps prevent unauthorized access when you log in to your WhatsApp account. This feature is currently available on the WhatsApp mobile app.
3. Message reaction features like Instagram and Facebook Messenger
WhatsApp is bringing a message reaction available on Instagram and Facebook Messenger. This feature allows users to react to messages. All users have to do is tap and place a finger on the message they want to react to. The reaction text will appear below and will also appear to all members of the group.
4. New animated emoji
WhatsApp is working on a new animated heart emoji for Android and Apple iOS users. Now when users send red heart emoji they see an animated heartbeat. Right now this red heart emoji is limited enough. But a new report by WABetaInfo suggests that work is now being done to add animated effects to more emojis.
5. Community group chat feature
The community feature will give the group admin more control. This feature gives you the option to create groups within groups. This will be more like an umbrella discord community.
6. You will find a search shortcut in the Contact Information section
WhatsApp is planning to introduce a new search shortcut in the redesigned Contact Information section. A new search shortcut will be added to the video call icon. You will also find a new shortcut in the Group Info section. This search button is now visible on the app's home screen. You can search any message using this feature.
7. People can be stopped by looking at WhatsApp status
The new WhatsApp shortcut lets you manage the status privacy setting. The new shortcut will work with the new caption bar. On which work is in progress. Shortcuts allow you to edit the list of users who will be able to see their shared status updates. WABetaInfo suggests that when you tap 'Status' you will see a shortcut at the bottom of the screen. With shortcuts, you can quickly select WhatsApp contacts.
8. Review shared photos and videos
WhatsApp is planning to review the document shared in the chat. You cannot view a photo or video sent as a document without opening it. When you share a PDF file as a document on WhatsApp, the review will be similar to what appears.
9. Sharing the same photo/video in chat and status together
WhatsApp is working on a new feature, which allows users to share their WhatsApp status as well as different chats or groups in a single window. If you want to share a single media file on your status and in more than one chat at a time, you have to do this separately. With this feature, users will be able to see the redesigned caption with extra functions. Users will be able to select the option they want to share by tapping on the camera icon in the Chat, Group, or Status section.
10. New interface for voice calls
WhatsApp is changing the design of the app window, which appears during group voice calls. The platform is adding a voice waveform for everyone during group calls.
