What is a scheme?

This special scheme of Post Office is called Post Office Gram Priya Scheme and this scheme was started by Malhotra Committee. At that time, only 22% of the total population of India had this insurance. Today the scheme has been extended to various rural areas and you should be between the ages of 20 to 45 to avail the benefits of the scheme.

How much premium will have to be deposited

In this scheme, if you deposit a premium of Rs 5,042 per month, you will get a lump sum return of Rs 7.25 lakh. The duration of the scheme is 10 years.

How to get 7.25 lakh

When the scheme matures, it gets Rs 7.25 lakh and under this scheme a bonus of Rs 45,000 per thousand Sum Assured is given on an annual basis. The sum assured amount of Rs 5 lakh is Rs 22,500 and in 10 years you will get Rs 5 lakh and Rs 2.25 lakh i.e. a total of Rs 7.25 lakh.
